Dear all,
Residents in the local area have been very interested to watch the development of JLR's new global aftermarket distribution centre at J11 of the M42 in Appleby Magna, Leicestershire. As with any large-scale development, those closest to the new site were understandably concerned about what impact the development would have on the local area.
Mercia Park are very proud of what we are starting to build there in terms of a diverse and family-friendly culture, environmentally responsible ways of working and outstanding career development opportunities for local people.
As we are about to bring the first products onto site in the coming days, I thought you and your residents might be interested in an update on what Jaguar Land Rover, in partnership with Unipart Logistics, has planned for this world-class facility and have attached some information.
Unipart has a long-standing reputation for being a good neighbour, and we are keen to develop close links with the many different communities around the new campus. If you are interested in visiting the site to see for yourself what it is all about, please let me know, and I will do what I can to help arrange this once building work is complete and it is safe to access. In the meantime, if you would like someone from Unipart and/or Jaguar Land Rover to speak at one of your meetings about the work we are doing and the opportunities this represents for the local economy, or if you have any specific questions I can help you with, please get in touch.
We hope very much that we will find ways of working together for the benefit of our local area over the coming years, and welcome any ideas you may have!
For more information, comments or to register your interest in visiting Unipart/JLR's facility at Mercia Park, please email the Parish Clerk
